Market & Product Intelligence · From our work

Understand the product. Understand its market.

A supplier price is only part of a purchasing decision. You also need to understand the competition, how prices have changed and how consistently the product has sold. We bring that market context together with research into alternative suppliers and a close look at the product itself, including whether each supplier offer matches the marketplace listing.

Inside this workflow

We analyse products and their markets: competing offers, current and historical prices, sales volumes and average monthly sales. We research alternative suppliers and check their products against e-commerce listings.

01

Understand the market

Examine competing offers and current prices to understand where the product sits in its market.

02

Look at the history

Analyse price movements, historical sales volumes and average monthly sales over the period being reviewed.

03

Research alternative suppliers

Look for other suppliers of the product and examine the available offers.

04

Check the product

Compare supplier offers with the marketplace listing, including model, variant, pack quantity, accessories and compatibility.

A simple example

Brake pads for a different rim material.

The marketplace listing specifies brake pads for aluminium rims. The supplier listing specifies pads for carbon rims. Both are rim-brake pads, but the intended use is different.

That detail needs checking before an order is placed.

An example from product matching

Brake pads for
different rim materials.

One set is for aluminium rims. The other is for carbon.

Compatibility differs

The listings specify different rim materials. These are not the same product.

Knowing when a result
needs review.

An analysis is only as useful as the information behind it. Data gaps, estimates and conflicting product details need to remain visible. Historical sales provide context, not a guarantee of future demand; purchasing decisions stay with your team.
